Preparation Steps

Extract Coconut Milk

Blend the fresh coconut pulp with hot water. Then, strain the mixture using a fine strainer or cloth to extract all the coconut milk. (You can also use commercial coconut milk.)

Prepare the Dough

Substitute regular water for coconut milk when preparing the dough. Add the tablespoon of sugar, the pinch of salt and the P.A.N Flour. Integrate well by kneading gently.

Add the grated cheese and a little bit of the coconut pulp that was left in the strainer to the dough to give it more texture.

Assemble and Cook

Knead very well, let it rest for a couple of minutes, assemble your arepitas and cook them in the hot budare until golden brown on both sides.
